Characterize what needs to move
Provide sediment depth, solids content, particle-size distribution, fibers and hard debris. These determine suction, blockage and treatment requirements more directly than the vehicle name.
Check access and recovery
Review the opening size, vehicle clearance, water depth, wall shape and lifting arrangement. A confined-space task needs a recovery plan that remains workable if mobility or suction is lost.
Calculate the complete conveyance duty
Specify pipe diameter and route, horizontal distance, lift and discharge point. The pump-and-pipe combination must be assessed with the expected sediment, not clean-water assumptions alone.
Distinguish treatment capacity from removal productivity
The AD-100 brochure lists 5 m³/h for its accompanying mud-water separation equipment. It does not establish how much net sediment the robot removes per hour.
Define measurement and material handling
Agree how recovered material is measured, where separated solids go, how water is treated and which site permissions apply. Ask for a representative sediment test and an acceptance method.
